French classes take place in the morning and are taught in small groups with a maximum of ten students per class. French classes are take place in the fantastic setting of the Château school. There is in extensive programme of activities and trips which are included in the overall price.
All students enjoy the comfort of full board in the residence and club, which features a swimming pool. The residence is located a stone’s throw from the beaches and lively areas of Juan-les-Pins.
This all inclusive premium french language programme offers teenage students a real opportunity to improve their French in a fun and enjoyable way. Students can choose the standard twenty lesson programme or the more intensive 26 lesson* a week programme. The intensive French course is ideal for students coming up to GCSE or A level exams
Standard French course
The standard French language course focuses on the development of oral and written skills as well as understanding the importance of grammar. Lesson concentrate on learning French through entertaining and motivational activities that involve all the class and that evolve throughout the day in the organised activities and fun events.
The school has a dynamic teaching approach which is based on an active learning process that is designed to stimulate children and teens as well as helping to develop their interest in, and their knowledge of French culture.
Intensive French Course*
Students on the intensive French course have additional classes twice a week from 13:45–16:00. For students who opt for the intensive course the additional lessons focus exclusively on oral skills in mini-groups of no more than eight people.
Students are actively encouraged to communicate verbally with each other and their tutor in an inclusive and fun way. There is a lot of focus on developing conversation skills through role play and group involvement.
Students are also given time to practice the grammar points they have worked on in the morning through these learning activities.
Oral and written comprehension exercises encourage students to reproduce, reformulate and engage in debate using a comparative, intercultural approach.

Activities and excursions
Each day there are fun things happening that help students use their French almost without knowing it, these include BBQ evenings, discos, games, cabarets and student performances.
Excursions include visits to places such as:
- Full day trips to St Tropez or Nice or Aix en Provence
- Half-day excursions each week to Monaco or Cannes or « Marineland » dolphin park

Afternoon activities include:
- One afternoon of sailing
- Sports tournaments
- Themed activities
- French films + conversation club
- Half-day on a private beach with water sports: inner-tubing, banana boat rides, fly fishing, etc.
- Weekly barbecue evening for all students
- Weekly disco or thematic evening
- Games evenings
- Quiz nights
- Student cabaret
Additional ‘kiosk’ activities*
In addition to the standard activity programme, there is a choice of extra activities such as water-skiing, horse-riding, paragliding… These activities are provided by carefully selected national instructors or adequately qualified external providers to ensure the greatest standards of safety.
