Programme

You will study the following compulsory modules:

  • Contemporary world issues
  • English language and communication studies
  • Research skills
  • Research project in political, social and international studies

Plus, select 2 of the following:

  • Foundation in business
  • Foundation in economics
  • Statistics for quantitative research

Assessment

Assessment is both formal and informal, and designed to help students build on their successes and meet requirements for entry to postgraduate study. Marks do not count towards the Masters qualification, but help the University to assess your abilities in your chosen field of study.

Assessment will be based on:

  • Written assignments
  • Oral skills and presentations
  • Group work
  • Project work
  • Tests and written examinations
  • Final project and presentation

At the end of the programme you will be internally assessed, and will need to achieve a language score of no lower than sixty-five per cent to progress to a Masters degree at the University of East Anglia.
