Course overview
One of the key aims of any English language summer school is to help students improve and develop their English learning. Whilst that is a great objective in itself it can be a bit one dimensional.
This course combines language learning with some excellent excursions and activities to ensure that students go home feeling that they have developed their English skills, learnt more about the beautiful island of Ireland and of course made new friends and most importantly of all had a really enjoyable time.
English classes
English is taught in an innovative and interesting way and teachers encourage students to develop their English skills using participative based learning which includes role plays, class discussions and debates.
The fundamentals of language learning is key to all classes and the school pays particular attention in all classes on developing the core skills of speaking, listening, reading and writing.
Activity options
The school, is in a great location and has extensive grounds and gardens. There is an indoor swimming pool, as well as volley ball and basket ball courts.
Students can choose from a range of sports including soccer, volleyball and swimming. Non sporting activities include arts and crafts and beach activities.
Excursions
The excursion programme includes two half day excursions and one full day excursion every week.
The programme includes visits to some of the most beautiful parts of Ireland including Kilkenny and Galway.
