Introduction
This campus based summer Spanish course offers teenagers the opportunity to learn and improve their Spanish in a fun and enjoyable way. It includes Spanish lessons, usually in the mornings, with some fun activities and excursions.
Learning Spanish
Summer Spanish courses help develop students in the following areas:
- Reading
- Writing
- Listening
- Conversation
- Understanding
Once the program ends and the course is completed, students will receive a certificate along with a progress report.
Teaching method
The language courses are conceived and designed to motivate students in a fun summer setting, but also sufficiently serious and professional to ensure that, regardless of ability, all students enjoy and make the most of their stay.
The curriculum is carefully designed to emphasise conversation and communication, so that students may take full advantage of their surroundings and apply what they're learning by speaking with friends during the remainder of the day.
Teaching material
The teaching material is designed specifically for young people. It is subdivided into varying levels of linguistic competence. Course material is issued to students on the first day of class, and of course is complemented by other tools and learning materials to further facilitate understanding and learning.
Activities
There is a complete afternoon and evening of sports, (includes archery, badminton, soccer, hockey), arts and crafts and fun events that help to develop team spirit as well as giving teenagers the opportunity to meet new friends from around the world.
The activities on offer help provide a great way to learn Spanish without even knowing you are doing it.
Excursions
Students will enjoy at least one full day and two half day Madrid excursions per two-week period.
The school organises these excursions with the aim of introducing students to the wide range of historical and cultural attractions that the regions of Madrid, Castilla la Mancha and Castilla-León offer.
Half day excursions from the following:
- El Escorial
- Aquópolis Water Park
- Madrid Tour (Prado Museum, historical centre…)
- La Pedriza
- Alcalá de Henares
