Accommodation

As with many of the language schools that we work with cia-antibes offer you a choice of accommodation options, from homestay with a French family, to a choice of residences specifically for students

There are a number of student residences to choose from. Our favourite is Castel Arabel, which has fifty rooms and studios, and is located in a quiet part of town, just minutes away from Juan-les-Pins, famous for its nightlife. There is a terrace, a television room, a small swimming pool as well as a snack bar, the "Castel café", open from April to October.

Living in a residence gives you that bit more flexibility. If you want to make new friends from all over the world while studying French then this is the option for you! If you want to stay at the school there are ten well equipped studios. (For obvious reasons, they tend to get booked up a long time in advance).

Homestay

Living with a host family has two major benefits. First, it's the best way to get to know the French language and culture and see what daily life is like for a native Frenchman. Secondly, part of the understanding with the family is that they will speak to you in French 100% of the time, (some of them can’t speak English so you absolutely have to try and get by in French!!), and helping you practice the skills you're working on in class in an authentic context.

The families chosen by cia France, to be host families, vary from young families with children to retired people. The majority of families are located within 10-30 minutes, (on foot or via public transport), from the school, in Antibes. There is usually a choice of half board or full board and between a single or twin sharing room.

Apartment

The well equipped bedrooms accommodate 3 students each with their own bedroom and are recommended exclusively for students on the 50+ programme.

Aside from transfer options within your country of study, we do not offer travel-inclusive programmes, but we can help you make the best travel arrangements to suit your needs, whether you are flying or travelling by rail.
