Accommodation
If you are studying at a don Quijote school you have a number of accommodation options; from family homestays, to student residences, to more independent living in don Quijote recommended student apartments. The choice is yours!
Student residence
In Barcelona don Quijote have an excellent newly refurbished student residence, with spacious study bedrooms and ensuite bath / shower. There are various meal options available and students are given vouchers to use at a number of local restaurants and coffee shops. There are plans to have a restaurant within the residence in due course.
Homestay
Living with a host family has two major benefits. First, it's the best way to get to know Spanish culture and see what daily life is like for a native Spaniard. Secondly, part of the understanding with the family is that they will speak to you in Spanish 100% of the time, helping you practice the skills you're working on in class in an authentic context.
The families chosen by don Quijote to be host families vary from young families to one or two retired people. The majority of families are located within 10-30 minutes, (on foot or via public transport), from the do Quijote schools, even in big cities like Madrid and Barcelona. There is usually a choice between a single or twin sharing room as well as half board (breakfast & dinner) or full board (all meals).
Apartment
It is the don Quijote philosophy that if you want to make new friends from all over the world while studying Spanish in Spain, then this is the option for you!
The don Quijote student apartments in Spain bring together international students from the don Quijote School in a pleasant, open atmosphere.
The apartments are functional and are completely furnished and equipped. No meals are offered but each apartment has a kitchen with a microwave, pans, cutlery and everything you might need to cook your own food.
Depending on the location there are various choices of apartments and all have different characteristics. Most apartments are located within walking distance from the school or are accessible by a short ride on public transport. You can choose between single, twin or triple rooms.
