Like many of the language schools that we work with Linguaviva offer you a choice of accommodation options either homestay with an Italian family, or a choice of apartments to choose from.

Regardless of whether you are studying French in France, German in Germany, or Italian in Italy, living with a host family has two major benefits.

First, it's the best way to get to know Italian culture and see what daily life is like for a native Italian.

Secondly, part of the understanding with the family is that they will speak to you in Italian all the time (partly because most Italian host families don’t speak English!), helping you practice the skills you're working on in class in an authentic context. The families chosen by Linguaviva to be host families vary from young families to one or two retired people. The majority of families are located within 10-30 minutes, (on foot or via public transport), from the Linguaviva school. There is usually a choice between a single or twin sharing room as well as half board (breakfast & dinner).

Apartment

This self catering option is for students who are 18+ and want to be more independent by renting a room in a flat shared with other students. You can choose a single or a twin room, (only available for two students coming together), in a furnished flat, with three or more bedrooms. Kitchen and bathroom is shared with other students. Sheets and towels are provided.

Travel arrangements and flights

Aside from transfer options within your country of study, we do not offer travel-inclusive programmes, but we can help you make the best travel arrangements to suit your needs, whether you are flying or travelling by rail.
