Malaca Instituto: Malaga

Malaca Instituto was founded more than thirty years ago. It is widely regarded as being one of the leading schools of Spanish in Spain. The buildings form what can best be described as a mini campus. Malaca Instituto is in a residential area of Malaga about ten minutes walk down the hill to the beach and fifteen minutes by bus from the centre of Malaga.

The school offers a wide range of general and specialised courses which cover the needs of most people who want to learn or improve their Spanish. Business executives, university students, retired people, teachers – all these and more find courses that suit their needs and appeal to their particular requirements. There is a swimming pool within the complex and some very pleasant terraces and quiet zones to enjoy and study in. At night, the on campus restaurant and bar area is a great place to relax and meet other students.

Why choose this school?

We think that the school offers some of the best facilities to be found in any language school in Spain. The school buildings and on site residence, Club Hispanico, form an impressive mini campus, with some great views of the hills and the sea in the distance. You will find everything you need for both studying and relaxation on one site.

As a result students tend to spend much of their spare time on campus which creates a very friendly and welcoming atmosphere - the ideal place to make life long friendships.

In 2013, over three thousand students of all ages and professions and backgrounds chose to study Spanish at Malaca Instituto. Students come from all over the world and stay for anything from two weeks to a year.

Social programme

Like us at gostudylink, the school passionately believes that participating in the excursion and activity programme helps to bring your Spanish lessons alive.

We urge you to take the opportunity, while you are in Malaga, to learn about Spain, see the countryside of Andalucía, eat Spanish food, meet Spanish people and visit the great cities.

The schools dedicated excursions team help you to do all this and more!  The school organises visits  to:

  • Cordoba
  • Granada
  • Sevilla
  • Ronda
  • White-washed villages like Nerja and Frigiliana.

You can also go to Africa for the weekend and you will be able to see first hand a little of the modern-day Moroccan culture that in the past had such an influence in forming the traditions, way of life and architectural heritage that we see in Andalucía and Málaga today.

The school offers a great range of other activities including:

  • Learning to cook real paella,
  • Preparing a perfect Gazpacho, and understanding how to make the best Tortilla in Malaga
  • Walking in the mountains
  • Learning to dance the Sevillanas
  • Enjoying the sounds of the wonderful musicians and dancers that are regular visitors to the school for "fiestas"

Note: For some activities there is a small extra charge others are free
