Skola English in Exeter is situated in the heart of the city and very close to the university. The school offers comfortable and well equipped classrooms. Digital projectors allow our teachers to use the internet as a key element of their teaching.

Accommodation

The school’s accommodation officer inspects all host families before they place a student. Families are chosen based on the warmth of the welcome they give students and how well they look after them. 

Some host families are within walking distance of the school but some are a bus ride away. You can buy bus tickets in the school at very competitive prices.

There is also the option of a Student Residence which is about 5 minutes walk from the school.

Student residence

The school offers a student residence in the city centre just 2 minutes walk from the school. You can choose between a large single room with a private bathroom or a single room with a shared bathroom. 

The kitchen area is shared with other students. Laundry facilities on site, 24 hour security plus free broadband.

Homestay

Students in homestay accommodation have an evening meal as well as Bed and Breakfast. As the evening meal is taken with the hosts, there is more contact, so more opportunity to practise their English. 

For this type of accommodation there may be up to 3 students at the same time, again of different mother tongues unless a specific request is made to the contrary.
