Course overview

DELE stands for Diploma de Español como Lengua Extranjera, or "Spanish as a Foreign Language Diploma". It is the only certificate for non-native Spanish speakers that is officially recognized by the Spanish Ministry of Education.

This diploma is of great international value for those who are going to study at a Spanish University and who want to work, or are going to work in a Spanish speaking environment. In fact we advise everyone taking a long term Spanish course to take the DELE examination.

DELE Exam process

The exam courses are structured to help you pass the DELE exam and they focus specifically on the key components of the exam. To enrol on a DELE exam course you must have at least the same level of Spanish that is taught on the course. So, for example, if you want to take the DELE B1 exam your Spanish needs to be at the B1 level. If you want to take the DELE B2 exam your Spanish needs to be at the B2 level etc

There are separate preparation courses for each exam, according to the level of qualification (B1, B2, C1, C2). Although a very high percentage of students have succeeded there is, as with any exam, no cast iron guarantee that you will successfully pass the official DELE exam, as this always depends upon various circumstances.
