GLS: Berlin
The GLS German Language School is located in the historic centre of Berlin, in trendy "Prenzlauer Berg". Around 1900 this district used to be home, if home is the right word, to the poor and destitute of Berlin.

After WW II, Prenzlauer Berg ended up in the communist part of Berlin. Even under the communists Berlin had a reputation that set it apart from the rest of East Germany. The GLS school is located in an area which was home, in communist times, to many intellectuals and artists. This tradition continues to the current day. After the fall of the wall the district boomed and became one of the trendiest parts of Berlin.

Really enthusiastic teachers. Encouraged to practice speaking - errors always kindly corrected, without making you feel bad! Interesting trips at the weekend. I learnt lots and met really interesting people - I would strongly recommend GLS.
