Course overview

Learning English at a summer school offers an excellent opportunity for teenage students to practice and improve their English skills in a fun, safe and exciting environment. This course in Worthing near Brighton on the south coast of England ticks all the boxes.

English lessons

The learning materials that are used in class are exclusively available at our partner junior summer schools. They were designed by English teachers specifically for non native students of English. Students will typically receive 15 hours of English lessons per week made up of twenty lessons

Lessons aim to increase the students’ confidence in communicating in English through engaging and age-appropriate topics and activities. All language is presented in context to show and practice how English is used in the real world and not just the lesson.

Teenage learners need variety

The Junior Syllabus is a well-structured framework for teenage learners. Lessons promote speaking, reading, listening and writing skills practice to increase language fluency but also the opportunity to improve language accuracy with challenging grammar exercises and focus on new vocabulary.

The morning class is divided into two sessions; the first part of the morning (09.30 to 10.45) concentrates on grammar structures and writing skills. The second part of the morning (11.00 to 12.30) is designed to improve listening and oral skills.

Role-play, communication exercises and authentic materials are used. Project work, history and legend are an important part of the course.
